Sitting in the emergency room with my adult son. No Black person of any age should go the hospital alone. He said, they just doing intake ma.” I said, “ am your interpreter.” And I accompanied him, anyway. Did my Black birth justice thing and he is now getting top notch treatment. Just having a witness who knows the questions to asks, can invoke another level of attention to provide quality care. Don’t Poke the Mama 🐻 Bear!

The female makes hormones when pregnant that allow the pelvis to open up enough for the baby to come through. Then during the postpartum period the pelvic returns to its pre-pregnancy state. And stabilizes.
